Visible Thinking: Financial Literacy Workshop at Assumption Pathway

04 Oct 2025

This year, EYEYAH! introduced Visible Thinking Routines to Year 2 students at Assumption Pathway School as a creative and engaging way to explore financial literacy.

In small groups, each student received a copy of EYEYAH!’s Money Issue workbook. Using the See–Think–Wonder technique, they analysed the illustrations and shared their thoughts on key financial literacy topics.

Discussions covered digital payment methods, managing temptations, and distinguishing between needs and wants. Students also discovered healthy financial habits such as the Japanese method of Kakeibo, the benefit of saving in a bank, and how compound interest helps savings grow.

By combining visual literacy with visible thinking routines, the workshop encouraged meaningful conversations, helping students understand abstract financial concepts.
