Fake News Workshop at Little Seed Preschool
EYEYAH! conducted a one-hour workshop with the pre-schoolers at Little Seed Preschool, introducing them to the world of fake news.
The children learnt what fake news is, how it appears on the internet and social media, the rise of deepfakes, and why it often spreads faster than real news.

Through guided discussions, the students discovered simple ways to spot fake news.
They then put their learning to the test in a fake news quiz. To decide whether a headline was real or fake, they had to run, crawl, or jump to the correct side of the room, turning critical thinking into a fun, physical game!

To wrap up, the children learnt always to stop, think, and ask questions before believing what they see online.
They also created their own “fake news” stories by combining three pictures into a creative news headline, before sharing in a show-and-tell session!
